If you are wanting
to trace family who have lived in Magherafelt in the past and were Presbyterian
it is possible that our church records could be helpful.
However these records
are held in Belfast in two locations :-
Some Early records are
held by the Presbyterian historical society who can be contacted as detailed on
their web site

They hold records of Baptism from 1703-1706 and 1771-1780
And records
of marriages from 1769-1782
The rest of our historical records are
held at the Public records office in Belfast

where they have been microfilmed.
