Church Membership

While anyone is welcome to come alone to any of our events people become members of our congregation at a number of levels.

Contributing Members,
Most families / adults who attend on a regular basis also support the congregation through contributions to weekly offering and special collections. Envelopes are available for this and can be obtained by contacting the FWO convenor Mr Harold Duncan or filling in an information leaflet requesting envelopes.

Taxpayers,
Can increase the value of their contributions by signing up for Gift Aid. (Dr Ken Watson is our Gift Aid Secretary)

Communicant Members,
Those who have professed faith in Jesus Christ and made a commitment to support and be involved in the congregation (For further details look under membership classes).

Voting Members,
Are those who have contributed in the previous year and are on the communion roll. They have the responsibility of electing committee, Kirk Session and calling a Minister. They also have the responsibility of making the final decisions regarding the development of our property, etc.

We seek to keep in touch with all members through regular visits by Elders/Committee and Minister. We also keep a list of those who have been connected with our congregation in the past and have no other church connection.

Membership Classes;
Membership classes run Feb to April; Cover Life Bible course and booklet "What it means to be a communicant member of the Church"
